Dr. Rodrigues Fisher has been a nurse educator and researcher for more than 25 years. Most recently, Dr. Rodrigues Fisher has served in administrative roles as a dean of nursing and later as a vice president for academic affairs. Dr. Rodrigues Fisher is devoted to mentoring minority students who desire a career in nursing, raising money to fund scholarships and providing community service to families in need. Dr. Rodrigues Fisher has co-authored a book titled, Critique, Resistance, and Action: Working Papers in the Politics of Nursing, has published articles in several journals including, The Western Journal of Nursing Research, Nursing Forum, Clinical Nursing Research, Critical Care Nursing, Journal of Continuing Nursing Education. She has presented at conferences in the United States as well as Australia, Albania, Canada, and Argentina. She joined Walden in 2010 as the MSN program director.
