Interdisciplinary communication in simulation; service learning; socialization of critical care nurses
Dr. Reising is a full-time faculty member at Indiana University School of Nursing in Bloomington, where she teaches research and critical care to undergraduates. She also supervises graduate students and teaches in the graduate program at the Indianapolis campus. Dr. Reising serves as the research clinical nurse specialist for Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital, directs the Johnloz Nursing Research Fellowships, and is the Magnet program co-director. Dr. Reising is an ANCC Magnet appraiser and also serves as a legal nurse consultant. She has worked in service as a staff nurse in medical-surgical and critical care nursing and has served as an assistant director of nursing. Dr. Reising was inducted as a fellow in the Academy for Nursing Education in 2009. She joined Walden’s faculty in 2010 and teaches courses in the MSN program, Education specialization.
