Background

Dr. Munkeby has worked on and managed high-technology business projects and programs for the federal government and private industry for more than three decades. After serving as a U.S. Army infantry officer, he worked on the Space Shuttle and payloads for the shuttle as a software developer; on earth-observing spacecraft as a software manager; and on robotic/unmanned ground vehicles as a program manager. Dr. Munkeby currently supports the Army’s Brigade Combat Team Modernization (BCTM) program as a technology developer. The BCTM unmanned vehicles are driven by an autonomous navigation system (ANS). Dr. Munkeby is the program manager guiding the integration of ANS technologies for military, homeland security, and industry applications. He joined Walden in 2009, teaching courses for the D.B.A. program in applied research methods.
