Dr. Onu spent more than 15 years working in organizations in both the public and private sectors as a program and project manager. He has managed successful projects in developed and emerging countries. He is recognized for his expertise in turning around projects with cost overruns and poor deliverables and received a Best-Managed Project Award from the Egyptian government for achieving $50 million in savings on a previously failing project. Dr. Onu served as an adjunct professor and senior faculty member at American Sentinel University and as a senior technology and management consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton. He has been a member of the Project Management Institute since 2000 and is a member of the International Project Management Association. Dr. Onu has published articles in peer-reviewed academic journals and is a reviewer for the Journal of Management. He joined Walden’s faculty in 2001 and teaches project management courses.
