Dr. Wasiyo has over 15 years of experience leading training projects and implementing curriculum development services globally. She began her career in education after being selected as a volunteer instructor for a 1994 project teaching computer programming to secondary school teachers in Zimbabwe, which led to her working for a Japanese computer school called Kyoto Computer Gakuin. Since then, she has supported many training programs and managed software and database IT projects for various international organizations, including UN-Habitat and a World Bank-funded property management system for Uganda. She has also implemented systems for learning and sharing knowledge for the United Nations, the governments of Uganda and Zimbabwe, and Manhattan College, where she also teaches. She has worked as an associate professor with the Kyoto College of Graduate Studies in Informatics. She joined Walden in 2014 and teaches in the M.S. in Project Management program. In addition to her academic training, she is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and a certified Project Management Professional.
