Background
Dr. Lopez has been running a wholly owned, successful real estate investment firm with over $90 million in assets and an average annual growth of 10% since 1997. He also has been running an investment fund that has beat the stock markets continuously in the last 10 years. He has been teaching since 2003 at several universities and has published in the field of negotiations, investments, and customer behavior. He has presented at conferences and universities around the world, including Guatemala; St. Petersburg, Russia; Paris; Hong Kong; Beijing; Shanghai; Xian, China; and Granada, Spain. His travels in business and academia have helped Dr. Lopez compile substantial knowledge in the field of consumer behavior, multicultural communication, psychology, and negotiations. Dr. Lopez joined Walden in the dual degree program with UVM in Mexico in 2007, teaching Mexican exchange students in Florida for the summer. Dr. Lopez now also is part of the D.B.A. faculty, and he has been mentoring doctoral students since 2009. He has taught courses in management, quantitative research and is chairing doctoral student’s dissertation committees. He continues to run his real estate development business and portfolio management business in Florida, Spain, and Guatemala.
