Dr. Goes is a managing partner at Cybernos LLC and an adjunct associate professor at the University of Oregon. He has been a Walden faculty member since 1999, mentoring students in management and healthcare. His current research and consulting work is focused on change and innovation in corporations, health systems, and rural communities. He has published more than 20 articles in publications including Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Health Services Research, and Health Care Management. His research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the Kauffman Foundation, among others. Dr. Goes received the 1990 A.T. Kearney Prize for outstanding research in strategy and the 2003 Dean Conley Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives for his research in healthcare management. He is co-author of Dissertation and Scholarly Research: Recipes for Success, a bestselling guide to dissertation writing, with Walden colleague Marilyn Simon.
