Dr. Goes is a managing partner at Cybernos LLC and an adjunct associate professor at the University of Oregon. Since 1999, he has served as a Walden faculty member, mentoring students in management and healthcare. His current research and consulting work focuses on change and innovation in corporations, health systems, and rural communities. Dr. Goes has published more than 20 journal articles in publications including Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Health Services Research, and Health Care Management. His research—supported by the National Institutes of Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Kauffman Foundation, and others—earned the 1990 A.T. Kearney Prize for outstanding research in strategy and the 2003 Dean Conley Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives for work in healthcare management., He wrote Dissertation and Scholarly Research: Recipes for Success, a popular guide to dissertation writing, with Walden colleague Marilyn Simon.
