Background

Dr. Fletcher has spent more than 37 years in university teaching, research, and consulting with businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. In addition, he has worked as an operations manager and a retail business owner. From 1994 through 2010, Dr. Fletcher directed a university research center that contracted as much as $1,250,000 per year in funded research from businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies at the local, state, and national levels. He has written numerous journal articles, research reports, and book chapters. Dr. Fletcher joined Walden in 2010 as a contributing faculty member and teaches courses in the B.S. in Business Administration program and the D.B.A. program. Today, his primary research interests are in public policy related to small business creation and retention.
