Background

Dr. Haugen has been a technology management, business systems management, and leadership professional since 1966 in roles such as software/systems engineer, project manager, midlevel and executive/enterprise manager, senior management and technology consultant, teacher, and small business owner. He has led enterprise-wide technology management and organizational change teams for large companies (70,000 to 250,000 employees) and small-to-midsize companies (50 to 4,500 employees) and has been teaching leadership, business management, and technology management courses since 2000, joining Walden in 2009 to teach Business Strategy and Innovation and becoming lead faculty in 2010. He is experienced in all phases of the technology and systems management lifecycles as well as in applications systems and infrastructure systems development and management. Dr. Haugen is currently the owner of a small management consulting firm and does volunteer community development work in his hometown.
