Background

Dr. Brown is founder and president of Oak Wood Associates, a consulting firm specializing in improving organizational performance since 1988. She is an author, lecturer, former school executive, and business owner with more than 30 years of executive and management experience. Dr. Brown is a contributing author of The Executive Nurse: Leadership for New Health Care Transitions. She has led process design projects for many state and national agencies, been a presenter or keynote speaker at industry conferences, and contributed to newsletters across industries. Dr. Brown joined Walden in 2000 and teaches M.B.A. and Ph.D. courses in the College of Management and Technology, including courses in strategic management, spirituality in the workplace, project management, organizational development, and organizational behavior. She has served as a subject matter expert for Walden’s leadership courses and also serves on a number of doctoral committees as a chair or member.
