Dr. Bouvin completed his doctoral studies via the Air Force Institute of Technology Program as an officer in the U.S. Armed Forces. He has more than 20 years of experience as a professor and director within the federal government and higher education. This includes service within both military and public university environments. Dr. Bouvin spends time consulting with Fortune 500 organizations, business startups, and nonprofit firms as well. He has multiple publications on the topics of management and assurance, to include: A Curriculum for the 21st Century Cyber Warrior, Information Assurance Education and the IS Curriculum, Mapping the National Security Agency’s Information Assurance Certification 4012 to the IS Curriculum: The Air Force Example, Developing a Center of Excellence in Information Assurance, Learning How to Design IS Security Education from the 21st Century Cyber Warriors, and A Case Study of the Integration of Medical Networks Into the Air Force Information Network. He has multiple certifications in the fields of finance, auditing, security, and is an active member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. Dr. Bouvin joined Walden’s faculty in 2007 and mentors doctoral students.
