Background

Dr. Castaneda currently serves as program director for Walden’s B.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Accounting programs. With more than 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, he has served as a consultant for numerous Fortune 500 companies and worked in executive roles at corporations such as American Express, McDonald’s, PepsiCo, and Price Waterhouse. Dr. Castaneda also serves as a board member and treasurer for Friends of the Orphans (international orphanage organization), and Illinois Literacy Foundation, as well as the grants panelist finance specialist for the City of Chicago Cultural Center.
