Background

Dr. Valverde has more than 20 years of professional experience in information technology, mathematical modeling, financial analysis, and programming. He is a registered professional engineer in Canada and a public accountant in Australia. He is a member of the Canadian Operational Research Society, Institute of Internal Controls, Forensic CPA Society, Professional Engineers of Ontario, Association of Information Systems, and Institute of Public Accountants of Australia. Dr. Valverde was awarded the Operational Research Diploma by the Canadian Operational Research Society and the academic fellowship by the Association of International Accountants in the United Kingdom. In addition, he holds several vendor certifications from Microsoft and Cisco, including the MCT, MCDBA, MCSE, MCSA, and CCNA. He has written two books on reengineering and human computer interaction, edited one book on information systems reengineering, and published several papers in various journals that include the Journal of Information Systems and e-Business Management, Journal of Theoretical and Applied Information Technology, and International Journal of Computer Applications.
