Dr. Valverde has more than 20 years of experience in information technology, mathematical modeling, financial analysis, and programming. A registered professional engineer in Canada and a public accountant in Australia, he is a member of the Canadian Operational Research Society, the Institute for Internal Controls, the Forensic CPA Society, Professional Engineers Ontario, the Association for Information Systems, and the Institute of Public Accountants. Dr. Valverde was awarded an Operational Research Diploma from the Canadian Operational Research Society and an academic fellowship from the Association of International Accountants. In addition, he holds several vendor certifications from Microsoft and Cisco, including the MCT, MCDBA, MCSE, MCSA, and CCNA. Dr. Valverde has written two books on reengineering and human-computer interaction, edited one book on information systems reengineering, and been published in various journals, including Information Systems and e-Business Management, Journal of Theoretical and Applied Information Technology, and International Journal of Computer Applications.
