Background

Dr. Borton has more than 25 years of full-time teaching experience in university classrooms. He is a former professor of Computer Information Systems (CIS) and served for 12 years as the chair of the CIS department at Colorado State University–Pueblo. He also served as an adjunct faculty member for 10 years in the Outdoor Leadership program at the university. Dr. Borton received the Outstanding Faculty Member award in the College of Engineering, Education, and Professional Studies. Prior to becoming a faculty member, he was assistant director of Financial Aid at the University of Northern Colorado. He joined Walden in 2011 as a core faculty member in the B.S. in Computer Information Systems and the B.S. in Information Technology programs.
