Intersection of artificial intelligence and information security; adaptive intelligent systems to protect computer systems and networks; security-related research projects, including public-key infrastructure interoperability, malicious code detection, and system vulnerability assessment
Dr. Duhainy previously worked at Avnet Electronics Marketing and the Advanced Threat Analysis Center at Northrop Grumman Corporation. He has developed a modified reinforcement learning algorithm that enhances the effectiveness of neural networks, including techniques that use advanced neural networks to detect network-based attacks. His work also has included the use of adaptive self-organizing software agents that are designed to actively protect the computer network from attack. Dr. Duhainy also has served as a professor at ITT Technical Institute.
