Background
Dr. McDoniel is a contributing faculty member in the School of Health Sciences. He teaches courses in the B.S. in Health Studies program as well as the M.S. in Clinical Research Administration program. Professionally, Dr. McDoniel has experience working as a clinician and clinical researcher in various settings. He has published peer-reviewed papers on obesity management and energy metabolism. Most recently, Dr. McDoniel co-developed an algorithm for assessing body composition through indirect calorimetry. In addition to his Walden faculty assignments, Dr. McDoniel serves as a consultant and manages his own wellness practice focused on clinical weight management.
