Background

Dr. Hollingsworth is a practicing primary care physician assistant in rural North Carolina. He has 30 years of experience in family and emergency medicine and is a physician assistant educator. Dr. Hollingsworth provides mentorship and clinical experience in his office to students from the physician assistant and nurse practitioner programs in North Carolina. He is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) and is a faculty member in its NCMS Leadership College. He is published in several medical journals. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is on the Professional Practice Council of the academy. Dr. Hollingsworth teaches online courses in introductory pharmacology and clinical ethics and has taught clinical laboratory medicine.
