Dr. Rea began her career at Walden University in the College of Health Sciences in 2007 and currently serves as the program director for the doctoral and master’s public health programs. She has 28 years of local, regional, and state government experience as a public health administrator and epidemiologist as well as 12 years of course development, teaching, and mentoring of students and faculty in the online environment. She has also been involved as a researcher in community-based settings as a content, methodology, and statistical advisor. She received the Michael C. Herman Preparedness Leadership Team Award in May 2005 and other awards for projects implemented in her community. She currently holds a certification in public health and is a member of the American Public Health Association.
