Dr. Perkins received her Ph.D. in Health Studies with a focus on Community Health from Texas Woman’s University in 2004. She joined Walden in 2009, serving as practicum coordinator for both the M.P.H. and M.H.A. programs and core faculty member within the School of Health Sciences. Prior to joining Walden, she held various positions within the field of public health in both county government and nonprofit organizations. Her background includes more than 10 years of work in the areas of HIV/AIDS, public health preparedness, and breast cancer education.
