Dr. McBride is a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor. She has experience working in residential, inpatient, and private practice settings with children, adults, and families on a variety of issues. She has presented nationally on counselor ethics, encouraging healthy relationships among adolescents, and community needs of the homeless population. Her work includes various publications on topics such as adolescent substance abuse, prevention of elder abuse, community needs of the homeless population, and multiculturalism. Dr. McBride is also a reviewer for the Journal of Human Services. She is a contributing faculty member in Walden’s M.S. in Mental Health Counseling program.
