Since 1996, Dr. Blum has provided consultation to various behavioral healthcare programs, organizations, and state governments across the United States. He has provided outpatient and inpatient counseling, crisis intervention, rehabilitation, and career counseling. For nearly a decade, he was a surveyor for The Joint Commission and worked in a private counseling practice. For more than 15 years, Dr. Blum has taught undergraduate through doctoral-level human services and counseling courses at both traditional and online universities. He has published a number of peer-reviewed articles and remains active in local and national professional organizations. Dr. Blum is a contributing faculty member in Walden’s M.S. in Mental Health Counseling program.
