Each year, one exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled teacher in each state is named state teacher of the year. This prestigious award is synonymous with excellence in education and recognizes an elite group of educators who change lives with their leadership and passion.

Since 2008, The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership at Walden University has had the honor of offering these outstanding educators a full-tuition scholarship in order to continue advancing in their field.
