Dr. Lao is a curriculum and course developer for business, writing, and foundations courses at Walden. She also serves as a consultant for the Academic Council on Education, where she reviews military courses for college credits. Her work experience includes Equal Employment Opportunity investigator, where she investigated discrimination complaints, newspaper copy editor for the El Paso Times, writing lab reviewer, and GED/ESL instructor. Dr. Lao is a published author in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Technology and Teacher Education, Global Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Leadership Studies. She joined Walden’s faculty in 2005 and teaches the Ph.D. foundations courses for the School of Management. She also serves as lead faculty for these foundations courses.
