Dr. Johnson’s professional life has included teaching at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels; being a high school counselor, a district director of pupil services and professor emeritus of educational leadership and school counseling; and teaching and mentoring at Walden University. Dr. Johnson has three published books and has more than 30 professional articles to her credit. Her awards include Outstanding Professor of the Year at California State University, Los Angeles; induction into the McDaniel Foundation Hall of Fame at Stanford University; and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American School Counselor Association.
