Dr. Thomas is interested in how urban educational systems should be reformed to improve educational outcomes. In particular, he studies how educational systems can improve intergenerational social mobility and how social networks affect educational outcomes, educational entrepreneurship, and instructional technology. Dr. Thomas loves quantitative measures and enjoys helping the experienced professionals and practitioners in the school of education further develop scholarly and scientific thinking. He is passionate about how education can improve the life experiences of urban youth.
