Gloria Fowles ’12, a B.S. in Psychology graduate best known as pop legend Gloria Gaynor, plans to open a center to benefit teenaged parents in mid-2013.
Christopher T. Taylor ’11, a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies graduate and a Ph.D. in Public Health student, is the project manager at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he is responsible for the management of the programs, projects, and partnerships that promote campus-wide diversity and inclusion and the recruitment and retention of underserved and underrepresented student groups.
André Lynch ’07, a B.S. in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) graduate and a Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) student, was promoted to manager of vendor integration, delivery, and support at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in Maryland in April. Lynch is responsible for vendor integration functions, accountability and process management. He previously served as a senior business analyst.
Chris Rey ’07, a B.S. in Business Administration graduate, is the new mayor of Spring Lake, N.C. Rey, a 34-year-old former U.S. Army captain and law school graduate, won more than 76% of the vote with his focus on transportation, citizen involvement, youth programs, and cultivating young leaders.
Angelo Orlanes ’09, a B.S. in Business Administration graduate, was promoted from a senior analyst to an accreditation, regulation, and licensing consultant at Kaiser Permanente in Tracy, Calif., in January. In this role, he manages, facilitates, and supports activities related to accrediting, regulatory, and licensing issues for all healthcare sites and services, including home health, ambulatory services, provider networks, and hospital services.
Kenneth Brandt ’07, a B.S. in Business Administration graduate, was accepted into West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Rebecca Graetz ’08, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and B.S. in Business Administration graduate, currently serves as online advocate for faculty and eCollege administrator for Argosy University’s Twin Cities campus.
