Each graduate certificate consists of 4 graduate courses for a minimum of 15 quarter credits.

The undergraduate certificate consists of 6 undergraduate courses for a minimum of 30 quarter credits.

Graduate certificate students:

  • Must take all courses in sequence and receive a B or better in each course.
  • Must meet the admission requirements for the Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) or M.S. in Nonprofit Management and Leadership program.
  • Can accelerate progress on their graduate degree as graduate credits may be directly applied to the Walden University Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.), M.S. in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, or Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration.

Undergraduate certificate students:

  • Must take all courses in sequence and receive a B or better in each course.
  • Must meet the Walden University bachelor's degree admission requirements.
  • Can accelerate progress on their bachelor’s degree as undergraduate credits may be directly applied to the Walden University B.S. in Criminal Justice or B.S. in Political Science and Public Administration.
