Transfer of credit from other institutions is encouraged. Applicants may request an unofficial evaluation of transfer of credit prior to admission. This can be completed with unofficial or official transcripts. Official notification of credits that have been accepted for transfer to a program normally occurs at the time an offer of admission is made or during the student’s first term of enrollment.

 

Official evaluation of credits for transfer to a program requires the following documentation: a copy of the official transcript that reflects the course being evaluated and, for non-U.S. institutions, a copy of the catalog course description. For all programs in psychology, syllabi for courses being evaluated for transfer into any other program may also be requested. Syllabi may also be requested for courses being evaluated for transfer into programs offered by the NTU School of Engineering and Applied Science. Evaluation of credits for transfer from non-U.S. institutions will normally require transcripts to be evaluated and certified by Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE, www.ece.org). Transfer of credit documentation, when requested, should be submitted to the Office of Admissions.

 

Note: Residency units completed under another university’s residency program cannot be transferred to Walden University.
