As emphasized in the University Outcomes section of this catalog, critical-thinking skills and the facility of expression inherent in the writing process are tools that directly affect each student’s success—not only at Walden, but also at current and future places of employment. Graduate student writing (e.g., KAM demonstrations, course papers, theses, research project reports, dissertations) must conform to the standards of the fifth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association and the APA Style Guide to Electronic References. Students are encouraged to use the numerous writing resources found in the Writing Center on the university’s Web site.
