Grading Auditing Policy Audit is a registration status allowing students to attend a course without receiving credit. Graduate students may audit courses. Audit units do not count toward full-time status, nor do audited courses count toward the determination of academic progress. Audited courses do not satisfy course prerequisite requirements or graduation requirements.
Enrollment for audit must be approved by the associate dean, or the associate dean’s designee, and must be completed by the last day designated by the university to add that course to a student schedule. Registration is on a space-available basis and will not be permitted until the beginning of the add period.
Some courses cannot be audited, including those listed in the table below.
Students are not allowed to change audit status to regular credit status at any time. Credit registration cannot be converted to audit status after the end of the add period for that course. An audited course may be repeated for credit in another term. |
