The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences is composed of three schools—Psychology, Counseling and Social Service, and Public Policy and Administration. The School of Psychology offers a doctoral program in psychology with six specializations and Master of Science programs in Psychology.  It also offers a post-doctoral certificate program. The School of Counseling and Social Service offers a Master of Science program in Mental Health Counseling and doctoral program in human services with eight specializations.  The School of Public Policy and Administration offers a Master of Public Administration degree and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration. 

 

Goals

  • To create an educational environment where learners are able to cultivate their existing transformational professional knowledge, skills, and competencies.
  • To prepare professional leaders who are empowered to promote social change within individuals, groups, and organizations on local, national, and global levels in the context of professional ethics and standards.
  • To enable learners to integrate social, behavioral, and health theory, research, established methods of scientific inquiry, and evidence-based practice to enhance the greater social good.
  • To provide opportunities for interdisciplinary study and research collaboration.
