Students with Disabilities
Staff in the Office of Disability Services are dedicated to providing barrier-free access to Walden’s educational services.
Walden will work with you to provide personalized support services and accommodations for disabilities including, but not limited, to

To ensure that you have communication access that is as effective as that provided to individuals without disabilities, Walden provides auxiliary aids and services.
Visual Disabilities
- Printed information read by qualified readers or provided on tape cassettes, on computer disks, in Braille, or in large print
- Verbal descriptions of action and visual information to enhance the accessibility of performances and presentations
- A guide to help navigate an unfamiliar route
Hearing or Speech Disabilities
- Qualified oral/sign language interpreters
- Written notes
- Real-time transcription services
- Video text displays
- Amplified and hearing aid compatible telephones, assistive listening systems, open or closed captioning and cation decoders, and text telephones or Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf (TDDs)
