Walden University Presidential Youth Debate 2008


Walden University is honored to support civic engagement among today’s youth and tomorrow’s leaders by sponsoring the Walden University Presidential Youth Debate to air at 1 p.m. Eastern time on October 22.

The debate gives young people ages 13 to 35 the opportunity to have their most pressing questions answered by presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama.

How the Debate Works
Young people submit questions and vote for the top 14 questions that will be sent to the candidates. The candidates will answer via video, and questions and answers will air online at www.debate.WaldenU.edu on October 22 at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

Share details of the debate with everyone who touches the lives of young people—in schools, youth groups, and your extended community. You’ll help to instill young people with a sense of empowerment as well as the responsibility to be informed, educated citizens.

About the Debate
The Presidential Youth Debate was founded in 1996 to focus presidential candidates on issues important to America’s youth. Every major presidential candidate has participated in the Presidential Youth Debate since 1996.
