Developing Lasting Relationships at Walden Residencies
When I walk into the Walden residency and I start to talk to people who are there for the same reason, I realize that there are people there with whom I will develop the same type of camaraderie, people I will know for the rest of my life, and people I know that I will be able to call up and ask a question, or even answer a question for them at some point.

The residency has allowed me to experience everything that they want you to learn in a very short period of time. Then take it all back [with me] and know who I can call at one-thirty in the morning, when I know I’m the only person in the world whose computer isn’t working right, and have somebody answer that question for me. The confidence that I have that there’s somebody who will be there to help me is probably the one thing I’ve learned this week that I’ll take with me forever.
