In the master’s of science [in] leadership program, students are working within the reflective piece throughout the program, in what we’re calling a reflective journaling, using a very specific methodology for reflection and action. We want them to go into deep personal spaces and explore leadership styles, to think about leaders they see around them and to assess and push themselves about their own leadership commitments. Students will take these reflections each course and provide a summary of them in week eight so the faculty member can sort-of get a sense for the kinds of aha moments students are having through the journaling process as the students work through integrating materials and concepts of practice in their journals.
