Walden and NCCEP GEAR UP to Promote Teacher-Scholars

Educators are the front line in education reform, influencing the future of students and their families on a daily basis. To support their efforts, Walden University has partnered with the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP) to offer five $2,500 scholarships* to educators affiliated with the national Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP).

Eligible Walden Programs

Eligible candidates may apply the scholarship to a graduate degree program offered by The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership, including the following

GEAR UP is a federal program designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter college. Teachers participating in the GEAR UP program may also save† 10 percent on tuition on Walden degree programs.
