Collaborating Online and In-Person

Building Your Walden Network

Walden students are highly self-directed, but they are not isolated in their online learning experience. When you join the Walden community of learners, you have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with faculty and students from across the United States and possibly around the world.

The online study experience—small study group sessions that communicate via threaded discussions throughout the program—will allow you to collaborate with fellow students who are experiencing the same challenges. You can gain the perspectives of your peers who have faced and solved similar problems and share ideas and best practices with others.

You will exchange ideas and insights regardless of your location. In particular, our learning model encourages greater and more frequent access to faculty. From designing a program of study to reviewing your work, faculty are active participants in your learning experience.

In-person academic residencies are also offered in certain Walden degree programs, providing you with even more opportunities to build and expand your professional network.
