Public Finance and Budgeting

In our current economic environment, managers in both the public and private sectors are required to understand the complexities and strategies of budgeting and fiscal management. In this specialization, explore the micro- and macro-economic models used in policy formation and the role of public finance in the process. Learn how budgets and financial reports are created and analyzed, and gain an understanding of fiscal and financial concepts, policies and management practices. Examine how domestic and international economic trends affect public service organizations, and apply economic, financial and fiscal concepts to case studies and current events.
