Education – BSN Track

Graduates of Walden’s Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program have the knowledge and ability to be leaders in the profession and contribute to positive social change in their communities and throughout the world. The Education specialization addresses the growing need for nurse educators. Nurses also provide essential education in staff development; patient/family issues; and school, occupational, and community settings.

Students who enter the program with a bachelor’s degree in nursing complete the following core curriculum and then advance to the courses in the Education specialization.

Completion Requirements

  • 35 semester credit hours
    • Introductory course (1 sem. cr.)
    • Core courses (12 sem. cr.)
    • Specialization courses (16 sem. cr.)
    • Capstone courses (6 sem. cr.)
