One key indicator of a university’s long-standing quality is accreditation. Walden University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association, which is one of the six regional accrediting associations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
In addition to being accredited at the university level, Walden also holds program-level accreditations for our M.S. in Mental Health Counseling, MSN, BSN, and several management programs. The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership at Walden University is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the standard of excellence in professional preK–12 education.
