In an ever-expanding global economy, information is routinely being digitized and communicated over networks of computers and other electronic devices. In this concentration, you will focus on the concepts, components, and design of information and communication infrastructure solutions. You will study ways to design, deploy, and administer scalable data networks and telecommunication infrastructures.

In this concentration, you will:

  • Study ways to design, implement, and maintain computer-network operations.
  • Examine the selection, installation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
  • Explore the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of active network equipment.
  • Focus on security and fault-tolerance in networks for secure and reliable performance.
