Online Work and Communities

Increasingly, work assignments are completed by individuals or teams using technology across many locations, even different countries. In this concentration, you will explore the virtual work world of online communications and discover strategies to overcome distance challenges. You’ll be challenged to select the best computer-mediated communication tools and approaches to improve online collaboration capabilities. Deepen your understanding of Web 2.0 and its utility in social networks, special interest communities, volunteer efforts, and incentive systems.
