Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership and Administration (Principal Preparation)

Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Technology

M.S. in Education
The M.S. in Education program centers on the strategies that lead to greater student and teacher achievement. Themes of the program include: teacher professionalism, cultural and linguistic diversity, supportive learning environments, and teacher as a facilitator for learning.
M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology
The M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology will teach you to build quality education courses and training experiences. You’ll learn to apply theory, research, creativity, and problem-solving skills to a variety of technology applications in order to improve learning. You will also develop the skills to assess, create, and manage training materials.
Instructional Design Certificate
This 4-course, post-baccalaureate certificate program in Instructional Design will demonstrate to current or potential employers that you have mastered foundational concepts and principles related to instructional design, multimedia development, and learning theories and instruction.
B.S. in Child Development
The B.S. in Child Development program features the latest research

Endorsement Programs
For licensed teachers who want to increase their knowledge base and improve their teaching skills, Walden offers Minnesota state-approved† endorsement programs in special education. Choose from a focus on emotional/behavioral disorders (EBD) or learning disabilities (LD).
Teacher Preparation Program
Our Minnesota state-approved‡ teacher preparation program offers a practical gateway to teaching while you continue to work full time. With a focus in early childhood education or special education, our program meets the educational requirements needed to teach in P–12 classrooms or other educational settings.

*Walden University is approved by Minnesota to offer the Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration program that leads to licensure as a P–12 principal in Minnesota. This is the only program offered by Walden that is state approved as leading to any P–12 administrative/leadership license (e.g., assistant principal, principal, teacher leader, superintendent).
In addition, through a partnership with the Harris County Department of Education, Walden’s M.S. in Education, Educational Leadership program leads to principal licensure at the master’s level in Texas. Prospective candidates from outside of Minnesota should review their own state’s requirements to ensure that completing a teacher or principal preparation program at Walden will meet eligibility requirements for similar licensure in their state.
